Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

Yes. I have also massive network problems. DO NOT UPGRADE if you want a usable phone. It'snot only buggy but completely failing.

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

Strange that an older version does work but thanks a lot :) I can't live w/o the quick refresh cover action of MeeCast and your suggestion of installing 0.9.2 did solve it :)

Re: Angry birds Stella launcher by Jolla, And Stella TOH

I think you made some errors when you pre-ordered:
- Jolla is not a N9 and was never intended to become a N9 with some updates
- Jolla is not Nokia
- Yes to have limited ressources means that...

Re: Angry birds Stella launcher by Jolla, And Stella TOH

That's just sad for you - but you should move on and sell your Jolla if it's not for you. It will not change. No product in this world is made for everyone. Products have target groups and are...

Re: Nokia HERE Maps leaked. Works great on Jolla!

Ah small step for Nokia, a huge step for Android , erh, I mean Jolla.

-Seems to work despite the only 512MB Android RAM vs 1GB recommended.

-In the light of the pre-mortem halt of "maps for...

Re: Angry birds Stella launcher by Jolla, And Stella TOH

I agree with much of what ZogG says. I did not pre-order and the travel to Finland to collect my Jolla with the though that it may still be work in progress. I expected a far more mature product. ...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

CalDAV improvements have been trickling through pretty steadily I think, but I doubt all of them will have made it in time for update9 (though I have no idea, really):

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9

It seems some progresses were made recently. This is the link to an unstable image of Sailfish OS 1.0.8.21 with the kernel 3.5.3 for the N9.

Again, this is UNSTABLE.

Re: XWayland doable from user side or jolla required?

I do not think it is a problem really, and for me the impostant thing is not just running local X apps in Jolla, rather the ability to have X forwarding work, that is paramount.

For example, to...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

If Jolla were to ship a flasher, then that sort of thing would be significantly easier. Not having that means it's a much more complicated process, as messing it up (or more likely, us messing up) =~...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

Re: Sailfish OS bash shell is affected by the #shellshock bug

gdhcp is not setting any env variables, so it should not be vulnerable. But if you manage to find an exploit then feel free to send steps to reproduce email to security@jolla.com

I'd be shocked if they've sold more than 25k so far, and that's being extremely generous. Given the lack of community activity or interest, and lack of app downloads, if they have achieved that kind...

I have to disagree. The success of this project is more than evident already: It's the product in our hands.
