Sorry to be confusing. I meant I use firefox on my laptop to convert flv files to a format that will "work" on my N900.

I agree that gregorandersen's link go into fine-tune detail. I was just exploring if I could optimize display quality and file size without going into too much complexity.

I installed extra decoders from the application manager but it wouldn't read my flv files. So I removed it.

find -name \*mp3 | sort > playlist.m3u
I get this error message:
-sh: cannot create playlist.m3u: Permission denied

It worked on other folders.

With a data plan or wifi, you can use the integrated Skype to perform video calls on the N900. (Which is the key reason I brought it). You can also do video calls through Google.

Yes. I think its the apps. From what I've heard, it will be stable this summer. I'm looking forward to using the qq app. Once its stable, I'll download it and give it a try.
