Re: Arch Linux ARM on N900
Actually, I still get the "EXT4-fs (mmcblkp0p4): unable to read superblock" error when booting, but it works. I think I had it working earlier but for some reason the login prompt doesn't show up,...

Thanks! I finally got it working using your config and ext4 :)
Another questions, are there newer kernels than 3.5.7 available and are there instructions on how to build the kernel somewhere? I'm...

Re: Arch Linux ARM on N900
Thanks for your reply. I installed Arch in /dev/mmcblk0p5 using ext3 (I first had some problems with ext4 using the stock Maemo kernel).
My bootmenu entry file looks like this:
ITEM_NAME="Arch...

Re: Arch Linux ARM on N900
No one? I started from scratch again and I'm still having the same problems. Could it be that my N900 has a hardware revision that's not supported or something?

Re: Arch Linux ARM on N900
I installed Arch on my N900 but I'm getting some errors when trying to boot it. I think one problem is that I installed it in mmcblkp0p5 (not mmcblkp0p4) and even though I adjusted the u-boot menu...

Re: Arch Linux ARM on N900
What kernel version does Arch Linux on N900 use? Also, is USB host mode supported like it is on maemo?
I'm trying to connected an "easycap USB TV dongle" to my N900 but the driver...

Re: how to make N900 part of my home network?
Hmmm..
All I did is this:
Set up DNS to give my n900 the host name "n900" when connected to WIFI
Set up ssh public key authentication
Open "fish://root@n900/" in file manager (dolphin)

Re: [WIP] CloudGPS 0.4.8 - smoothest maps for N900
I really like CloudGPS and it works great on my N900. However, maybe I am missing something but is there no "help function"? I keep forgetting which key is used to switch map providers etc. It would...

As far as I know flasher-3.5 works fine under x86_64 Linux, although it is not officially supported (can anyone confirm this?)

Re: Another proof Elop is a trojan horse
Maybe I'm misinformed but I'm under the impression that a lot of GPS devices (Garmin, Magellan to name a few) use Navteq (owned by Nokia) maps.. so I wouldn't consider it irrelevant.

Re: [Announce] Nanoparticles
I think putting an open source game onto the Ovi store and charging money for is a good idea. Especially if you also publish it for Symbian and Meego (assuming many N9 will be sold). Regular users...

The decisions he has made are truly surprising and to an outsider it is not comprehensible how they could be in the best interest for Nokia.
For me, the fact that the Nokia board is not acting...

Re: Is there anything we can do??
It's not easy to build good phones but there could be other options.. More specifically, it seems like HTC doesn't really care what OS is shipping on their devices, as long as it sells. I wonder if a...
