Re: Apple charger actually compatible with a standard ? What is the world coming to ? :-)

"The Model A1265 (US version) can also be used to charge USB devices." Yes, you may have seen it charge some specific device, which you don't mention. But is it "dumb charger" compatible ? Have you...

Re: Apple charger actually compatible with a standard ? What is the world coming to ? :-)

BEGIN RANT

I wish people would stop with the uninformed sarcasm ...

The downside: The...

Re: N9 and 5GHz

Were you doing this DOS/WIndoze thing where you _assumed_ that the current directory would be part of the search-path for executables/commands ?

In Unix/Linux, simply "cd"-ing to a directory...

Re: [HOWTO] Comprehensive Firmware Flashing Guide for N9

[mofazar] What kind of weird thinking (or not) lead you to try flashing with DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_009-OEM1-958 ?

Re: Help i can't delete a file from home/user

I think most of you are missing that we're not talking about deleting one (1) file, but a directory with files in it. He's talking about trying to delete a file "inside", but what are the permissions...

What does the command

ls -lR filename

(where filename should be the file or directory you downloaded) show ?

I'm specifically saying "directory", because you said "inside" ...

Trying...

Re: [Tutorial] Faster A-GPS response on Nokia N9

Re: N9 WONT Charge Over USB

I suggest you disconnect the wires and short the wires, so that the female d+/d- pins are connected, and the male d+/d- pins are unconnected. 2 reasons:

1. never connect 2 outputs (they're...

Re: Modifying external charger to use with N9, beyond shorting pins

How about the 4 resistors right next to the pins you shorted ? :-) (retorical question, btw)

Remove those, or cut the lines going from the resistors to the 2 middle (data) pins.

I've done this...

Re: N9 : Strange behaviour with a car charger

Re: The Epic N9 PR1.3 Discussion Thread!

To (re)install AccuWeather, do

Open Terminal
devel-su (default password: rootme)
apt-get install wxapp

If that doesn't work, try

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
