Thanks for choosing my player :)
The issue you described is not someplayer's issue because it uses 3-party audio engines (Phonon and GStreamer) and doesn't operate with audio stream directly...

My VPS which hosted all my web scripts (SomePlayer help pages, SomeCover gate script, bugtracker and donation links too) was crashed yesterday. Restoring scripts and data...

1. There is no way to see all albums of all artists in one list (and with media art). By design (but will be implemented in 2.0)
2. Yes, 'Add to Favorites' is broken. Cumulative fix-release of 1.5...

different user.
If you start someplayer via shortcut - user is 'user', but (looks like) alarmd starts as root. Try to add sudo -u user before:

sudo -u user someplayer

Create a script file (e.g. start_someplayer.sh) in /home/user directory:

someplayer &
sleep 20
dbus-send --type=method_call...

To start and play use:

someplayer && sleep 20 && dbus-send --type=method_call --dest=ru.somebody.someplayer / ru.somebody.someplayer.toggle

This command runs someplayer, waits for 20 seconds...

Someplayer doesn't have direct command argument to play something.
But you can create playlist in player, run it and push to background. Command to start playing:

dbus-send...

UPDATE:
my hosting provider temporary locked my account, so somecover doesn't work.
Tomorrow I'll move my server scripts to another hosting.

I just add new file with special name (album-<md5>-<md5>.jpeg) to ~/.cache/media-art

experimental feature: audio stream (internet radio)

Tap on menu -> Add stream, set name and URL. New track will be added to the end of current playlist

Update:
To make sure all available art converted for stock media player just remove all and re-download (menu -> select all -> cancel selected -> download all).
