So in your case the N900 goes all the way into the mount and is fully enclosed so that you can't open the keyboard?

I ordered the same holder and received it today (less then 2 weeks, too). There's indeed no hole for the camera. But my problem is, that the mount is not symetric and so the N900 does...

Ah yes, I was wrong, I missed the "cd /home/user" at the beginning of the script, and because of the not working wget I created the ".navit" folder by hand at the wrong place.

the .navit folder has to be under /home/user and not /home/user/MyDocs
the name of the map has to be mymap.bin and not mymap.dat

You don't have to be root, but the binary has to executable, and it can't be on a vfat-partition (like everything under /home/user/MyDocs).
Just copy the file to /home/user/ and make it executable...

Thanks for looking into my problem!
But no, I can't crash this simple player. ;) I tried it with multiple folders and especially with the files that crashed the last test-versions of panucci.
