Re: tracking issues and events with maemo.org infra migration#2

Yup. Such a bully that I stepped down and left four months ago.

I only stop back here a few times a month to see what progress has happened, mainly so I can be relieved of the last...

Thumbs down Re: tracking issues and events with maemo.org infra migration#2

When you bully people, what do you expect?

I left the Board mainly because you were pushing for things to be done your way "or else". It wasn't the first time, nor did I see it as being the last....

Re: [DEVEL] Saera: Siri clone for Maemo5 and Harmattan

Would it be an option to put both in and simply offer a setting to change between off-line and on-line? Change the default as desired, but having the option for off-line would be nice.

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

This is correct. A license for vBulliten was purchased with HiFo funds, which was setup and used for TMO on the hardware from Nokia.

This is incorrect. Use of the Maemo trademark was not...

Re: http://skeiron.org is down 3 days+ ...what exactly is going on?

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Nokia has their own butt to cover as well. There are third parties (Adobe, TI, and others) that would be less likely to sign on to future deals if Nokia doesn't...

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

The current system is more like the proposal 2 diagram, in that the Board is directly selected by a general election to serve for a set term, and holds general meetings publicly.

I think all of...

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

You mean me? No. I don't count. (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=92438) Haven't for a couple weeks at least, so no worries there. :)

Don't worry. One way or another, things will be...

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

So you'd throw away everything, risk the whole works, to prove you're "right"? There you have it folks. Thanks for making that crystal clear, Joerg.

Do you see now why no one consults you on...

First and fore-most: I'm not here to battle you, Joerg. I'm here to tell the community simple basic facts that you appear to be lacking and misrepresenting.

I have no intention of filing a...

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

maemo is not a FOSS project. It's is a commercial product with a number of FOSS elements interwoven. Nokia handing out a copy of third party binaries under EULA to people who purchased an N900 does...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks --> Everything Needed To Have A Perfect N900

Many people are also still running PR1.0 due to lack of connectivity to update to PR1.3. Does that mean we should tell people it's great to stay on PR1.0?

These "patches" did a lot of things to...

Re: moving Hildon Foundation to a german e.V.

We did this in forming the original Foundation by having the three founders agree that they would abide by the decision of the community and vote for the directors chosen by a general election. A...

Just a note, this is a new Council, not a new Board. Board is still the same, as they serve 1 year terms.

Jolla OS "unoffical update" for N900/N9?

This could be interpreted several ways. But my mind read...

Re: HELP! How to transfer sms conversations from Nokia N900 to Samsung S4?

You may want to look at the program GlogArchive for the N900. It can extract and save your entire SMS database as CSV. If you're going to be able to transport it to S4 at all, there's probably a...

Re: How do you remove birthday events from the calendar...?

Open calendar, choose Settings from the top menu, then Edit Calendars.
Some widgets have their own settings to change interdependent of the calendar itself.
