Can someone tell me why the n97 is so great?
Such as, is it MORE than just a n96 with an added high-res touch-screen, S60 5th edition, and physical qwerty keyboard?

Hi guys.
I'm just trying to understand how Maemo compares with other OSs.
Is Maemo 4,5 more like:
Modern 64bit OS with hardware assisted 3D GUI?
Mature 32bit OS, lots of apps, simple GUI....

You answered my question. The N810 IS a FULL computer. It's just size challenged and sacrifices comfort for portability.
I'm guessing the RX-51 will blur the lines further by fixing the USB2VGA...

After re-reading the thread. It seems the order of capability is something like this for devices used as a MID:
RX-51 > N97 > N810 > N96/G810

Please elaborate. People seem to think very highly of the N97 (with the Symbian/ARM11 and all). Maybe the N97 is a better MID than the N810.

Any hope of (internal) SDXC using an adapter or the RX-51 using SDXC? This can make these little devices much more future proof.
I understand the SDXC and RX-51 are not released hardware yet.

I think we are starting to know a bit more about the N97 now.
Is the N810 a superior "PC" to the N97?

I take lots of digital photos and 5mpx is PLENTY! (Even 3 is enough for most everything). At that capacity, the optics and sensor quality plays a bigger role. It's about making each pixel look good...
