Re: New user

Hi branja. Warehouse app no longer works on latest Sailfish; you should instead install Storeman from this link. (https://openrepos.net/content/osetr/storeman)

Re: libhybris will support Android ≥6 devices!

Any info on the Galaxy Tab 4? It's listed on the Adaptations wiki (https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris#Tablets) but there's no link to the port itself.

Re: Sailfish Devices in The United States

Right. Jolla Phone in the US is limited to 2G as American telecoms use different frequency for 3G/4G than other countries.
Additionally, Jolla 1 is a GSM phone. For 2G, this means it only works with...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Ok, just noticed a huge problem with this release on Xperia X: bluetooth speakers no longer work. They connect, however audio still comes out of the phone speakers for Sailfish apps, and doesn't come...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

For me, fingerprint is useful in that it's more secure than "no passcode", which is usually my default given how often I unlock the phone and how inconvenient other unlock types are (for instance,...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Just updated, and enabled fingerprint unlock. I noticed an inconsistency: if you have it set to lock after a timeout (I set mine to 10 minutes), before that timeout fingerprint unlock doesn't work,...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

This is important - some USB cables that come with phones are "charging only", i.e. they don't pass through the data lines.

Re: [WIP] CuteSpotify for Sailfish

I haven't used it myself, but I understand Rust can make much better guarantees about memory safety and thread safety than C.

Bug I noticed: there seems to be no way to allow NSFW results in searches.

Re: And now Huawei is doing a dramatic move.

I own a Huawei Ideos. That said, it's been unlocked for the past seven years already.

Fixing spotify playlists in CuteSpot

Last week, CuteSpot broke, along with all other applications using libspotify, as Spotify changed something that prevents it retrieving user playlists. It seems a fix for this is using the Spotify...

Re: Russian Devices With Sailfish OS Go on Sale in 2019

The title made me do a double-take - at first I thought that there was going to be a fork of the OS called "Sailfish OS Go".
