I can only recommend to do a fresh install for 2.2.0. I had lots of problems before after an OTA Update, now everything is fine. eg I wasn't able to start some programs a second time after I closed...

I've also a J1 at home. Overall condition as to be expected after several years of usage (scratches, etc.). One thing is definitely not working: the power button.

Maybe it can be fixed by...

Removing the non funcional repositories and adding the new ones does no harm. It can also be reverted if you want to.
The repos were changed to wrong (non reachable from outside Jolla company) urls...

Sailfish on the XA2 would be wonderful. But I'm only staying a Sailor if some (of the many) drawbacks get resolved during the next 1 or 2 Updates. Else I might have a look at lineage instead.

Very nice project. Just out of curiosity (maybe i've overread it): is transponder working in the background (e.g. daemon)?

It is a main showstopper for me using a messaging application and needing...

The procedure you described worked for me. To be sure try to delete (or mv) /usr/lib/ofono folder and restart the phone an see what happens...

Another issue (maybe):

When playing sounds in browser or media player (via integrated speakers or headphones) the volume seems to be too high as in 'overamplified'.
For me the lowest volume...

Apart from gentoo there are no major distributions not using systemd (which is actually a very good idea, but with some flaws and "narzistic" people as developers)
