Re: The TIZEN Thread

But that's the way Android Wear seems to be (mostly) going...
Tizen seems to be a bit more "capable", but has it's trade-offs etc. too ofc.
I see OpenWebOS may be getting it's 1st...

Re: The TIZEN Thread

Don't really care about camera, that's primarily why I'm not interested in the Gear 2, that's the only major difference between it & Gear 2 Neo.

Fair point about the Gear 1, I'll look more into...

Re: The TIZEN Thread

U is, not UT...
And it's not exactly "lots", maybe more than FFOS & Tizen combined (for now) though.
Anyway we digress...

Re: The TIZEN Thread

Err no, I'm not a fanboy for any platform, I just like trying new stuff...
There should be a sub. under Alternatives for Tizen & FFOS, they've been out there with actual devices for much longer than...

Re: The TIZEN Thread

Huh? They don't have even one device out yet*, Samsung's released several in the past ~12mth.
Yes nothing interesting when it comes to handhelds, we know that, but other form-factors nonetheless.

Re: The TIZEN Thread

Surprised there's no dedicated Tizen sub-forum, it's certainly been delivering more than Ubuntu Touch, yet there's one @TMO for UT (http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=55) but not Tizen.
Weird...

Re: TOHKBD rev2

Well, you were being rude, but nice of you to just brush-it-off like that...

It's not true to say "they handle hw just like Jolla", Jolla def. has more competence in that area already.

Re: Jolla 2 expectations

You seem to know that they all started out as much larger co's, there's quite a few that seem to be getting traction, I wonder how you're so sure of that.

How very polite of you....

I must say I have to disagree, I'd elaborate on why I think it might be a useful move, but that'd be digressing even further.
And more importantly, engaging in lengthy discussions in threads like...

Re: Jolla 2 expectations

To clarify & to be brief (as this is prolly OT), I'm referring to releasing an Android device (or devices), i.e. broaden their product portfolio.
Overheads are far lower, & if done well margins are...

Re: Jolla 2 expectations

Personally think they need to go all out Android at the same time as they're trying to push their own platform.*
The profit they make can (partly) go into their Jolla/Mer/Nemo/Sailfish work, but I...
