extmou does way more than just showing cursor, it pulls as a dependency a fixed evdev driver which supports mice.

Actually there exist 720p codecs for OMAP3 that don't need OC, which split the work between DSP and CPU.

AFAIK, besides theora, everything is HW accelerated.

Re - DSP OC - I did experiments back when I was playing with DSP driver, the result - even if OC to 800MHz, C64x is not powerful enough to...

I second that. The only really useful thing is swappolube, which allows you to tweak swappiness, page-cluster and nr_requests. All other "miracle" patches do more harm than good, if they do any good....

The "USB cable" issue was fixed long ago, it is something else. I'll appreciate if some of you who is suffering from that issue find what the culprit is.

Yep, as stated by the others, your filesystem is corrupted. Though I'd prefer to leave advices on e2fsck to some other guy, who knows it better.

Could you post (as attachment) your dmesg output?

To do that:
1. Open xterm
2. type "dmesg > /home/user/MyDocs/dmesg.log" without quotes
3. Connect your n900 via USB in mass storage mode....

No, as the device with stock libs is missing libstc++ and libgcc1 used during buildtime so you'll have unresolved symbols. Of course you can copy those libs and then the application will run.

If you compile (and you will want to) thumb binaries with gcc 4.7.2 (or whatever version different from stock), you'll also need libstdc++ and libgcc1 that come with the toolchain.
