Re: Symlink

I'm not sure.

I have successfully symlinked ~/MyDocs/.images to /media/mmc1/pictures and the like and the file manager handles it without any problems. Much handier to save everything directly to...

Re: "Camera" phone, oops MMC question

I've used an MMC card in a canon a520 (the card it came with it iirc), so an rs-mmc would probably work in it (using the extension thingy). I never tried though.

Re: Google Maps now work on 770?

I have two 770's (second one thanks to woot). One has os 2.2006.39-14 and on that, if I go to maps.google.com, it tells me I need at least opera 8.02+. The other 770 has os2007 hacker edition on it...

Re: MPD with USB HDD?

I hadn't thought of this until reading your post, but I like the idea. Especially since I just got my second 770 (from woot) and mpd on a laptop is my stereo's music player of choice.

All you'd...

Re: Who uses Neo1973 with 770/N800?

I have a 770 and I ordered a neo1973 yesterday.

At this point, it's not ready for end-user use. It can't share internet over bluetooth with your 770/laptop/etc, although you can share internet...

Re: Noob help

I've thought of trying to solder more ram into my 770. With os2005, there was enough ram out-of-the-box, but ever since os2006, you kindof need swap. It's possible that if you do solder some in and...

Re: Maemo Planet Problem

I just realized it was broken when you mentioned it. They changed the url to http://maemo.org/news/planet-maemo/rss.xml and didn't tell us on the old feed.

Re: multiple apps using GPS at the same time

it's not a limitation of gps modules or bluetooth in general, just that it's easier to manufacture and program bluetooth devices to pair on startup and then just connect to one device and only one...

Re: "Internet Automation Suite" - Suggestions?

I think convulted was asking about suggestions for scripts to run at predetermined intervals from cron, not a general "what do you want ported to the internet tablet" request. I could be wrong.

I...

Re: cron anyone?

Ideally, I could just patch grsync to give it a command-line mode that would sync a particular setup from its config file every now and then with cron. Not a lot of time in the next couple weeks...

Re: cron anyone?

run-parts is already installed and is executable. It's a symlink to busybox:
