I recently sold my N900 on eBay, the phone was a refurb from Nokia because my original's charger port broke, it was completely new from the factory apart from my old shell on the back as far as I...

Re: (POLL) what's you next phone after the n900

My USB broke so I sent it to Nokia expecting a N8 or E7 in return so I bought a Xperia Play.... And they gave me back a refurbished N900! Unpredictable Nokia. So unfortunately I'll be selling a very...

Re: Beware: Air UI bricked my N9

I wish people would stop over hyping the term 'bricking'. If you can reflash and get the device to work again then certainly is not 'bricked'. This term means when you're device it is so badly...

Re: Problems with N900 USB port becoming broken / loose and resulting warranty & repair issues

My usb port is actually inside the phone. It's been playing up for about a month. Any idea where I can take it to be repaired in the Nottingham/Derby region? Or suggest an alternative? Thanks everyone

Re: [Announce] iPython for MeeGo Harmattan

I don't own an N9 but this is awesome! I'm not liking the looks of lambda expressions in python though ;)

Re: Nemo with new UI and apps!

Is there anyway I can contribute to the project? As in is there anywhere I can go to get a quick run down and do you have a mailinglist/IRC channel that's frequently used?

Re: Nemo with new UI and apps!

"Nemo 11-03.1"

May I ask what's going on with the version numbers? I struggled before realising it wasn't even close to dd/mm/yy. I'm far too tired.

Re: Jonwil is considering a rewrite for the N900 stock vkb to include portrait mode support, but asks how many users want it.

A swype clone. This is the only thing I want from android. I'm not expecting it of course but a man can dream ;)

Re:  I Say "F**k NOKIA Repos!" I Need PyGTK - URGENTLY!

Servers and stuff go down all the time. They're hosting them for free aren't they and it's not like you're going to die if you don't get it right now

Re: what is the x terminal command that opens an application?

this is what `disown` is for. If you run a command like "firefox & disown" it won't close firefox with the parent terminal. Or mid process you can hit ctrl Z and then type disown.

Op, if you just...

Re: Will the N950 hit ebay anytime?

Well, nobody wants a loose N950. It's all about the tight models.
But seriously, the people who got them are probably going to cherish them (they didn't give them to just anyone) and the troubles...

Because it's prototype hardware given out only to people who developed something of interest for Maemo and is no longer in production? They could do a lot better than handing out N8's though, it's...

Look at the .desktop file that lktwo mentioned and make one like that - however substituting the URL and icon path for ones...

Re: [early development] tmoread, a tmo reader application

Doesn't twitter have an api though? I don't think talk.maemo does so it's a little more difficult to work with.

Re: The future of Maemo.org and what can be suggested to get back to Maemo.

Re: better scriptblocker for n900 built-in browser?

There's flashblock which works good. I can't remember where I downloaded my version from but here's (http://browser-extras.garage.maemo.org/downloads_os2008.html) their old old website.
