Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

CalDAV improvements have been trickling through pretty steadily I think, but I doubt all of them will have made it in time for update9 (though I have no idea, really):

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9

It seems some progresses were made recently. This is the link to an unstable image of Sailfish OS 1.0.8.21 with the kernel 3.5.3 for the N9.

Again, this is UNSTABLE.

But I can't really recommened it yet, it's slower as old releases and has some fixes from older releases (like battery charge status) not included yet. Better...

Re: XWayland doable from user side or jolla required?

I do not think it is a problem really, and for me the impostant thing is not just running local X apps in Jolla, rather the ability to have X forwarding work, that is paramount.

For example, to...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

If Jolla were to ship a flasher, then that sort of thing would be significantly easier. Not having that means it's a much more complicated process, as messing it up (or more likely, us messing up) =~...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

Right, except that we don't have bundling of all dependencies of an application. Welcome to Linux, enjoy your horribly uncomfortable stay unless you have a large team of people who know what API/ABI...

Re: Update 1.0.9.n this week?

QA is the easiest, most obvious missing part. I can't even count the number of times I've upgraded a desktop linux distro and ended up with a nonbooting system, or a system that won't boot to UI, or...

Also, I would like to see connman...

Re: Sailfish OS bash shell is affected by the #shellshock bug

gdhcp is not setting any env variables, so it should not be vulnerable. But if you manage to find an exploit then feel free to send steps to reproduce email to security@jolla.com

Re: Jolla Sales/Success?

I'd be shocked if they've sold more than 25k so far, and that's being extremely generous. Given the lack of community activity or interest, and lack of app downloads, if they have achieved that kind...

I have to disagree. The success of this project is more than evident already: It's the product in our hands.

To build something as complex as a smartphone with technology taken almost exclusively...

Re: Jolla arrives to India

Seems like a bit of a disingenuous example. Jolla can't underspec and inflate the price of their products in an Apple-like way.

Besides, that 1.4Ghz dual core is ARMv8 and MASSIVELY more...
