Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

You're most certanly right, I had the jolla-settings-networking-multisim installed before the update (I used the config-mod to activate the second SIM before), and the update didn't uninstall it in...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Just installed 2.2.0.29 on my Dual SIM F5122, and managed (apparently) to convert to the official Dual SIM SFOS by doing the following (YMMV - PROCCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK AND HAVE A BACKUP...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I have the same experience, doubletap works only very unreliably when activated (same as for romu, more than half of the times phone wakes up but touch input / swipe doesn't work). Maybe thats the...

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

Do you still have the releases-internal.jolla.com repositories if you do a ssu lr (after devel-su)? I had the same problem, and finally solved it by replacing all occurances of...

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

storeman launches for me (after installing the version from the link with --nodeps), and installing/uninstalling seems to work (tested on my tablet)

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

I currently use the combined german database (although with the MapBox GL backend, but I guess it would be affected too), but it wouldn't be a big problem to just download all the different regions,...

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

Clearing the Poor Maps GL cache helped. It's now working as expected.

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

At first, thanks again for your continued work on osmscout server and the surrounding infrastructure.

I updated to the latest 1.4.0 and downloaded the new maps for germany on my tablet....

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Best mail client in my opinion (unfortunately Android) is K9-Mail, does more or less everything Mail related including stuff like GPG-Encryption (if paired with Openkeychain). Also it's opensource...

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

I can report that the new version 1.2.0 with poor maps GL works beautifully on my Xperia X / Sailfish X. Rendering speed of the maps is blazingly fast and looks quite nice.

So again thanks for the...

It seems to work OK for closeup pictures similar to yours:

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I didn't see any improvement of the picture quality between 2.1.3.5 and 2.1.3.7 on my Xperia X. The Images are still very blurry (regardless of taking them with the Stock Camera App or Android Apps).

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I didn't make a test against Android, but I can say that the display brightness does go very dark on the lowest setting, definitly much darker than my other SFOS devices (Jolla 1 / Jolla C / Tablet)

Re: 2.1.1/Jämsänjoki EA

OpenVPN is also working for me now with 2.1.1.26. It wasn't until now since conmann somehow always f**cked up the routing, but now it works and routes all traffic through the tunnel as it should.

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

Another idea for running the server in the background would be to use Systemd Socket Activation, this way the Server would autostart if it is needed (=if a Request comes in), and could stop after a...

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

Just a quick feedback from my side: Using the linked test version I could succesfully download the Germany Map while being on my home wifi, so the improved download code seems to help for my case :)

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

Re: [Announce] Native offline maps: OSM Scout Server

I'll test some...
