Re: Screen protection: Vikuiti DQC-160 vs ARMR200

This is a repost of my opinions from a previous thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=42428:

I know some people don't like the Vikuiti ARMR range, but consider this a recommendation.

I...

Re: [Lock Screen] Pac-man pixel-moody

Thanks for catching that. Portrait mode is generally such a non-starter on the N900 I never thought to bother. I've updated the orginal zip file with the appropriate images for portrait lock slider...

Re: [Lock Screen] Pac-man pixel-moody

It's a suicide mission. It also looked better.

:D

Glad there are some people enjoying this one. Like all things N900 I'm already getting sick of this one and thinking about something new. I...

Re: [Lock Screen] Pac-man pixel-moody

Thanks! Unfortunately he ends up laying over the top of Blinky, but by the time he's there you've unlocked the screen so it's barely noticable. If only we had animated lockslider support...

[Lock Screen] Pac-man pixel-moody

Hi all,

I've made up some new lockslider art after seeing someone else here on the forums give it a go. I pulled up the original arcade ROM and did a screenshot so it's pixel accurate... then it...

[Boot Video] Nokia-Barbera "Shooting Star"

Hi all,

I've made up a new boot video based on the old Hanna-Barbera "Shooting Star" production logo animation, with a bit of a twist:

[Wallpaper] PixelJunk Shooter

Hi all,

Here's a loopable BG from the PixelJunk Shooter. I ended up doing quite a bit of Photoshop to stitch 3 disparate screenshots, but it's the longest I've had the same wallpaper on my N900...

Re: Tough, clear, smooth drag/swip/stylus friendly screen protectors?

I know some people don't like the Vikuiti ARMR range, but consider this a recommendation.

I ordered both the ARMR200 and the DQC-160 for my own personal shootout (er...touchout?). Initially I...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Unfortunately Amazon doesn't ship electronics overseas, which is why we're all having to use relatives or freight forwarding companies. If I had slightly more patience and common sense I would wait...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Per a previous post, I had the same thing happen to me with the delay approval...and just got back from the beach to find a confirmation email with tracking number!

Now I can finally stop reading...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Looks like Amazon may finally be running out of N900s...I was just asked to "approve" my 11/24 order with an updated delivery date of 12/17 (pushed back from the 11th > 9th > 8th > etc). The good...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Just had my 11/24 order for delivery pushed from the 7th to the 9th (1 day Prime). The fact that they've made such a minor amendment makes me think Amazon may finally be on top of the process and...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

I ended up changing my shipping to 1 day Prime after my last update and I'm still set for the 7th, so I wouldn't worry. I'm glad to see that changing the shipping method triggered an updated ETA for...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Just went to take a look at my order (11/24) and initially the shipping date was still stuck at "shipping after the 25th". I toyed with the idea of changing to 1 day shipping (w/ my free Prime...

Re: Amazon?

Two things:

1. Australia is a close neighbor to NZ in the same way that Los Angeles a close neighbor to Chicago. :D

2. Not every kiwi who preordered an N900 acts like a petulant, entitled...
