Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

Try to clear more space than 95 MB. Try:
apt-get autoremove && apt-get autoclean

I remember running Debian on my N810, and I remember having the same problem: the virtual keyboard would not work stabily for various programs. Luckily, for me, I had the built-in keyboard on the...

I am extracting as root, but the tar -pxvf command doesn't seem to extract (or any combination). Would you recommend extracting on another computer and moving? Or is their an easier command to...

Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

Qole,

What if I keep the first partition a 128 MB SWAP partition? Shouldn't that prevent Maemo from trying to mount it?

Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

Actually, the bin folder is empty. So is the boot. The other folders are not. I am guessing xarchiver cannot preserve permissions upon extract, so I'll retry extract with tar -xvfp *.tar.bz2

Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

Qole, thank you for your post. This issue still remains.

I noticed that:
dd if=/dev/zero of=debian.img.ext2 count=6291456
will not allow a 3 GB partition. 2 GB is the largest it can be. I am...

Re: Easy Debian Diablo Beta Testing

I was also wondering why Easy Debian blocks increasing the image any larger than 1.3 GB? I assume this might be some sort of ext2 limitation? Because Easy Debian was programmed with a mounted loop,...

Re: connecting to wpa23 encryption

Currently, OS2008 only supports home networks and not corporate WPA2 networks that require PEAP keys. This is a registered, but mainly ignored bug by Maemo.
