Re: [Everyone's feedback required] Which applications do we need on Fremantle? Which of the existing need to be optified?

Done.

The version required for most games, and initially ported by Aapo Rantalainen, is liballegro4.4 (4.4.2).

This will help porting many games from desktop Linux or Open Pandora.

We need a working port of the Allegro library (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1050896), if anyone is able to take a deeper look at it.

Re: Notaz SDL with OMAP driver

The extended screen size is supposed to be used as a virtual screen with games that require a bigger resolution.

Re: Adventure Game Studio?

Really? I remember to talk about it with Aapo and I thought that the only working version was 4.4.

Does 4.2 have any issue with input grabbing or CPU consumption when sound is enabled? Maybe it's...

Yes I have, but what is the package that should be installed then? and why cannot that be handled by proper Debian dependency rules?

Re: Adventure Game Studio?

No, Allegro 4.2 is not known to work and maintainer is MIA. Allegro 4.4 is the way to go, but fixing it's current problems will require a very talented (and dedicated) developer.

Re: Adventure Game Studio?

Beware that Allegro 4.4 (http://wiki.maemo.org/Allegro)has many pending issues and sound requires excessive CPU.

Well, it's clear that CSSU is for what it is, just (considered) stable updates without (most of the time) disruption of the original Maemo experience. And the way people work on it is up to the...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Not what I said. I mean removing the original kernel provided by Nokia, which is useless as you cannot boot a Thumb system with it.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

By the way, is it possible to uninstall Nokia Kernel without messing up too much? I haven't been able to find any info about that in the forums.

Once in Thumb it makes no sense to keep it, as you...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Mmmmm, no I only checked the free space before and after. So that's maybe the explanation. I can try to restore the backupmenu before Thumb and compare.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Yes, I tried that one: apt-get clean; apt-get autoremove
A couple of reboots. Even more, a backupmenu just after installing Thumb is almost the same size than before.

No, HAM only knows about Nokia repos, CSSU Testing/Thumb and Extras (no devel, no testing).

/var/cache/apt/ is symlinked to /opt.

Anyway, the question here is that having CSSU Testing,...
