I think there is a thread with xboard and eboard. I liked eboard, but for fast chess on the go I prefer my netbook.
Jin shouldn't run, if its Java.
Anyhow this is more real life meets tablet...

I was wondering if anyone could try for a chess clock, for maemo

a simple layout shoud do, for the actual clock, the screen divided in 2, each side with a clock timer. Tapping on either of this...

Well, I already have the N800 so I already spent that money XD. Kinda broke right now, will have to save for the N900.........if I ever get it.

heh, i was thinking about a chess clock for maemo, for live games XD.Woukd be fun.
Same as the ones used in tournaments, only you tap one half of the screen or the other.
Just an idea I got....

Well, as the title says my N800 has started to do this random crashes.
the screen freezes, and the blue led blinks.
I am running maemo on my internal SD.
any thoughs?

At 7" I would consider a netbook. As much as I like my N800, is not the same as a complete computer. The other way is true, I've never found ebooks as enjoyable as with my N800, but if it had a 7"...

yup, seems like windows only.
But its really fast, I'm really happy. Left it a couple of hours and encoded 6 or so movies. I have the feeling my N800 is going to get more usage as a MID in the next...

not sure about nas, but I use Tversity to stream mp3s to the tablet. works relatively well, and has upnp and a web browser. I think its windows only, but there are other servers that do this in linux.
