the oracle-jre is Java for your N900, maybe you have to use dpkg -i to install the debs, hildon-app-manager has a tendency to reject certain packages

The display name is a bit tricky, it's implemented via a very secure protocol based on HTTPS, which unlike its first version is very hard to implement.

follow the steps for the old version, then open a root terminal (sudo gainroot), and enter:
(i assume your .jar is in MyDocs)
rm /opt/whatsapp/whatsapp_n900.jar

paris was great, i am unsure about the source code as it is not "clean" yet, there is decompiled proprietary code in it, and to get group convo's working i need to actually be in a group convo and...
