Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I wholeheartedly agree. systemd (like wayland and Qt) is a forward-thinking project. The naysayers remind me of the early detractors of btrfs, dead set on bugs or broken implementation that were...

Wink Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Sorry to redpill you, but SailfishOS has always been built on systemd and some non-trivial benefits (like a faster boot time when compared to Android) depend on it.

Jolla developers wisely chose...

Unlocking the bootloader and flashing Sailfish worked flawlessly after I struggled a little bit with the two different boot modes of the Xperia. The new...

Re: Sailfish OS on Sony Xperia X (community build)

I figured out why the wifi and cell signals weren't working. Apparently if the phone is in airplane mode in Android, and you flash Sailfish, the radios are completely disabled in SFOS. I flashed back...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I can confirm that flashing this (http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/140-sony-xperia-x-f5121) image via the open source flashtool (flashtool.net) unlocks the oem partition for fastboot flashing!

Talking Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Even if its campaign succeeds and even if they manage to ship by January 2019 as they promised (63 months later than the original Jolla phone), Librem5 is just doomed. Even more than UbuntuPhone.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices
