I have switched from the N900 to the galaxy note and I am trying to have a debian/ubuntu/any linux working on it similarly to easy-debian.
Which procedure did you use?
Is the app "linux installer"...

ops I corrected in the text ... I transferred the files in floppy where the partition was mounted not in opt. Sorry for that. I just copied from previous guide. And /opt/ was not touched.

I already have an image with few applications installed. I would like to avoid to reinstall everything. That is why I moved it instead of simply untar it :D

I used R in the easy-debian enviroment. it is very slow, but it is working. For small plots or similar elaborations is fine.

I am having the battery drain problem after the update. I tried to unistall firefox but without results. I do not have desktop widgets and top, conky or htop do not show strange processes using CPU....
