Re: Is it helpfull for us? Kali Linux now available for download from Microsoft Store

Re: Purism Librem Phone

You are incorrect in both cases (multiple libstdc++ & CVEs) - Flatpak works with the concept of runtimes, which generally contain the core and security sensitive libraries and provide a stable API...

Re: Purism Librem Phone

Exactly, three questions I'd like Purism to answer
1. What's wrong with Qt Quick? QtQuick Controls 2 are meant especially for mobile and are developed for a really long time?
2. What's wrong with...

Re: [Testing Squad] Lets get testing

Have a look here (http://maemo.org/packages/repository/qa/fremantle_extras-testing/?org_openpsa_qbpager_packages_in_repo_page=6). All needs to be tested but I would suggest testing newest packages,...

Re: Maemo-Leste pre-alpha announcement

Perhaps we could support both GTKs?

For the Xorg issue on the VM: remove -noreset from /etc/init.d/xorg (this allows X to retry startup and not fall back to tty on first try)

since it launches...

Re: Purism Librem Phone

I guess a problem with that would be the extra burden on the support department: people complaining "it doesn't work", because they (or someone else) changed something and can't remember it, or can't...

Re: Purism Librem Phone

This is the same silly
" re-invent everything while designing new hardware" blunder
that torpedoed Ubuntu (and others?).

The Ubuntu team decided to reinvent the browser, email client,
media...

Re: Purism Librem Phone

On this one, I agree with you.

The whole gesture interface they have proposed seems broken, not only the 3s multi-tasking view.

Too bad they don't seem to have read what Jaakko Roppola...

Re: Maemo-Leste pre-alpha announcement

The status-area-applet-battery initial port is pretty much done. [0]
Pending a N900 kernel bug it should start to work nicely. [1]

It has been ported to use UPower, one missing feature right now...
