Re: More updates coming for N9?

I know, thanks. Still: It wasn't installed on my N9 and I cannot recall having seen/used/uninstalled/... it at any time.

Now I installed the package using apt-get, and it pulled in this mysterious...

Re: More updates coming for N9?

Wait a minute.... I don't see anything called Nokia Link on my N9. So I assume I won't receive any update. However, if this update is important for the 3G connections to keep working... That doesn't...

Re: Instant Messaging protocols (XMPP and etc.)

Scorpius, you're wrong in all your assumptions - at least as far as I am concerned. (Believe it or not, I do use Windows! What now?)

That's what it all comes down to in the end. There's a word...

Re: Instant Messaging protocols (XMPP and etc.)

But it's not absurd to tell them to download and use WhatsApp?

I don't see any logic...

Re: Instant Messaging protocols (XMPP and etc.)

Re: Instant Messaging protocols (XMPP and etc.)

Scorpius, you're looking at the IM problem from the wrong side.

IM, like most other hot topics these days, is part of an ongoing war we fight to keep the internet free, decentralized and open for...

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

I'm shocked to see that those who are interested in a phone that runs free software would at the same time prefer to run non-free, poprietary services on this phone. That's pretty much the definition...

Re: jolla taking too long???

No. It wasn't modern, not in any way. It was years behind when they launched it.

It was, however, the first cell phone that was sold and hyped like a lifestyle gadget, so Apple managed to escape...

Re: Add drives to the web file manager?

I'm still not sure what you're trying to achieve, but at least box.net seems to offer access to its cloud storage via the fairly standard WebDAV protocol. So what you're probably looking for is...

Re: Why is Elop still Nokia's CEO?

They had an ecosystem. I cannot believe Elop brainwashed so many people into believing they had none. They had the worlds third largest, but fastest growing application store. They had everything...

I can live with proprietary drivers. They are a PITA and always have...
