Re: [Announce] ZapLoc - a Gowalla/Foursquare/Facebook places/Latitude aggregator - "All your location based services are belong to us" ;)

I have another problem: after some time ZapLoc stops updating Google latitude when moving more than 150m. It usually happens while driving and when another navigation progrm is on. I tried running...

Re: [Announce] ZapLoc - a Gowalla/Foursquare/Facebook places/Latitude aggregator - "All your location based services are belong to us" ;)

Another problem I have is that sometimes ZapLoc updates Google Latitude with accuracy = 0, even if the actual fix is from cell towers and its real accuracy is about 1-2 km. It seem to happen mostly...

The protocol is named SUPL (Secure User Plane Location). Here is a link to documentation:

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

Why bother everse engineering the protocol, when Google publishes an API at http://code.google.com/apis/latitude/ for that? Using a reversed engineered protocol will likely break in the future again.

Thanks!

I just use MicroB without changing the user agent and the site works. It does use a lot of CPU, though.

For those of us who still want to update their location from the N900, google.com/latitude (http://www.google.com/latitude) works fine. You just need to allow it access to the geolocation API. It...

Re: any n900 users in nyc? have you ever had 3g signal?

Dual is the default on a new phone. It does runs the battery faster than GSM, it isn't as bad as you seem to think. Buying a phone like the Nokia N900 and forcing it to use only 2G is like buying a...

Confernce calls only work with cellular call. While you can make twoseperate Skype calls (or one Skype call and one cellular call) you cannot make those calls into a conference.
