Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

Uhm, you pay 100€ for the 100€ voucher. So why do you get the device for 299€?

What about mail and calendar synchronisation in this case? Would this activate syncing (that did not take place due to PSM) as soon as you unlock the phone?

This will depend on Wifi or 3G usage and signal strength, as well as display brightness, the content you are viewing,.. the list goes on.

Re: high idle consumption

It does affect the file-upload (or attachment) dialog, e.g. when adding a file to an email or when uploading a file on the gdrive website. I chose to re-enable smartsearch because of that.

Re: My N9 video recording lags

My guess would be that something else is writing to (or reading from) the flash drive at the same time, thus causing the small lags. For a worst case scenario: Try copying a big file to your N9 and...

Re: [Announce] Easy Debian for MeeGo Harmattan

if you extracted the tarball using the command you quoted above, it should be located at the location you executed the command from (the .downloads folder).

Re: [Announce] Easy Debian for MeeGo Harmattan

I'm not sure if the hidden .downloads folder is responsible for this, and I cannot check right now. Try moving the image to /home/user/MyDocs and check your disk usage.

Re: [Announce] Easy Debian for MeeGo Harmattan

Where did you extract your debian image and where did you mount it? Try to keep the image file inside your MyDocs folder so it belongs to "user data" and not "installed apps".

Re: [Announce] Easy Chroot package for MeeGo Harmattan

No, I was merely trying to use openoffice and see how the N9 performs, using another device as VNC client and the N9 SDK VNC as server.

I'm happy to see the official easy debian release, thanks!

Re: [Announce] MeeCast for Harmattan

Re: N9 : Slow USB speed

Confirmed! I have just reformated and the speed indeed increased to around 18MB/s. This really is kind of strange, why would Nokia ship the device with 65536 B block size?!

Re: N9 : Slow USB speed

I used to think a write transfer-speed of around 3-4MB/s is normal (16GB version). How did you do the reformating?

Connect the phone using mass-storage mode and reformat the partition like any...
