Re: Canola for the N800 (and the n770) is officially launched

It's strange; I use playlists created by 770 Audio player in Canola with no problem.
You can try using PLC, which makes a single list and then make custom ones out of it (send it to a PC to make it...

Re: Canola for the N800 (and the n770) is officially launched

So, you might want to fill track...

Re: Canola for the N800 (and the n770) is officially launched

I don't...

Re: How to use Media Streamer

Yes, it is possible to access your media over the internet, assuming that you know the external IP of your home media server (or router) and your firewall (again probably your router firewall) allows...

Re: Canola 1.0 beta2 will be released 16 Feb!

It's a lot more resource friendly, which was my only complain before. It's faster too.

Re: So is the 770 dead?

Milhouse, I'm sure you know that we're talking about Nokia, a company with a long history and a lot of experience in providing hardware/software in mobile space, not a new startup.
It seems that...

Re: So is the 770 dead?

fpp, you summed up nicely and precisely many of the points that 770 users made since N800 was announced. Nokia , so far, seems completely lost or reckless with respect to their development plans for...

Re: NAS with upnp

I have a Synology DS-101, which comes with UPnP support in its firmware; it works with Canola and Media Streamer, but it's not feature rich; so, I disabled the firmware's UPnP support (can be done...

Re: I-pod Stereo (Buds) Headsets for IT.

I don't have a N800, yet. OTOH, I have a pair of not cheap headphones that I use with 770. Considering the presence of microphone connector, would those headphones work with N800?
I saw posts about...

Re: N800 in Canada

It's $509.95 on Expansys.ca, which includes tax and customs but excludes shipping (which was $22 last year).

Obviously, if someone travels to US, they can pick it up there, but for ordering,...

Re: Routers and configurations

Unfortunately, it doesn't; works with those routers that run linux (Debian); DD-WRT is not the most stable one (Tibur is for that), but it's the most feature rich that is freely available; still,...

I promised myself that no N800 till it gets a good case to be portable (worry free), plus serious stability issues are resolved.
Then, everyday, something is...

Re: Routers and configurations

I have a Linksys WRT54GS with custom DD-WRT VPN firmware and a Linksys WRT54GC. My 770 connects flawlessly to both using WPA2. I've also tested it with NetGear and DLink routers with no connectivity...

Re: N800 in Canada

I checked "The Source (aka. RadioShack)" and Fry's sites and none have listed N800; maybe not online yet, but OTOH, this is not the first time that I heard nonsense from Nokia Canada.

Re: For 770 owners, What we want? (2)

Just after posting that comment last night, a local radio station site, which had Flash, caused Opera crash and my 770 reboot.
I guess it was mad at me :D

Re: For 770 owners, What we want? (2)

Texrat, welcome to the club :D
