Not sure how it happened this time, but I got into another infinite reboot loop. I hope they put out another release of this though, because it was *very* promising. Back to 2007 for now though. :(

Mplayer *does* work, using a workaround posted elsewhere in this thread. Basically, install mplayer normally (for the dependencies), apt-get uninstall it, dpkg install the package for the 770 from...

I'm not 100% positive, but probably 90% sure that the answer is no. If I remember what I read correctly earlier, that would require resampling the cover, which would degrade performance or something....
