[Palm OS] Freeware Utility to Capitalize Characters on Dividing Line Ala Graffiti 2

Warning: Shortly after installing this, HotSync stopped recognizing the user on the device, and kept giving errors about Graffiti_ShortCuts.prc. I ended up creating a new profile and syncing seems to...

Re: 770 and Chinook?

Not sure how it happened this time, but I got into another infinite reboot loop. I hope they put out another release of this though, because it was *very* promising. Back to 2007 for now though. :(

Re: 770 and Chinook?

bahbah12: No idea, unfortunately.

Everyone else: My problem seems to have been with Modest. It was just odd timing, because Modest worked perfectly for me as far as I could tell, but then decided...

Re: 770 and Chinook?

Mplayer *does* work, using a workaround posted elsewhere in this thread. Basically, install mplayer normally (for the dependencies), apt-get uninstall it, dpkg install the package for the 770 from...

Re: 770 and Chinook?

Overall, this is a very very promising release. For the two days I've been trying it, it was FAR more stable than even the latest HE 2007 release. The browser seemed faster than I expected from what...

Maemo Mapper 2.2 on a 770 running OS 2007HE version something 46-3 something (the latest), crashes when editing more than one POI in a single session. I'm accessing the editing dialog by tapping and...

Re: Canola does not live up to the hype, suffers from usability issues.

Just because the source is available for a program doesn't mean that the distributed versions are using that exact source. It'd be really easy to sneak something malicious into precompiled packages....

Re: Canola does not live up to the hype, suffers from usability issues.

I am 98% in agreement with what you say here, but just to play devil's advocate for a moment, if we had the source for Canola, we could see what bits are being used where, and target specific bits of...

Re: 770 COMING SOON! Really??

I'm lurking on IRC hoping to figure it out there, but...was there ever any luck with recompiling python2.5-edbus for Gregale? Or finding the sources at least, since apt-get source didn't work for...

Re: Canola doesn't start -- where to look ?

If you can run it from xterm (just 'canola'), that might give you some indication of what's wrong. If you want to post the results from there, I could try to help you figure it out.

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

A few posts up from here is a post explaining the current lack of 770 support. I've been trudging along with the mixing of Gregale packages with Bora packages, but there's one package missing ATM...

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

To add OGG support:

(Yet another newer package than the earlier ones, which those posts are updated too. This one is reported as working on IRC.)

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I did this with Canola 1 and NFS, so I imagine it should also work with Samba. If I had Canola 2 I'd test it, but I don't yet, so can't.

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

Why is there no one centralized repository? Because the closest thing to an official one that exists that I'm aware of is maemo.org's, and look how that turned out. :rolleyes:

I hope that someone...

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

Here's a list of packages I was having to deal with earlier via apt-get. I think it'll be more complete than the other lists, but may still have some gaps for other reasons. Hope it helps.

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I'm not 100% positive, but probably 90% sure that the answer is no. If I remember what I read correctly earlier, that would require resampling the cover, which would degrade performance or something....

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I posted earlier in this thread with a link to a script that handles that, although I'm not sure how it works. I know it pulls the data from online sources and will ignore your existing covers,...

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I'll keep you posted and update my posts about this if a new version comes out while I'm still awake, but I've no clue beyond that. I don't even have a working copy of C2 yet, since I'm on the 770....

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

I have a 770 with OS 2007 HE, and it would not work for me earlier, or at least one other person. Support should be coming soon though, although I have no idea when. I hope before Christmas, but I...

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

Configuring it to use mplayer:

In /home/user/.atabake/config

[Fallback]
audio = mplayer
video = mplayer
general = mplayer

Re: The itT Canola2 Beta discussion thread

From the IRC channel concerning OGG support:

Also with a request for testing, BTW, so if someone can confirm that it does or doesn't work, that'd be super-nifty, I'm sure.
