Re: Pebble Smart Watch...

Thanks for all the feedback.
It seems that SkippingStones really reached a state in which it is actually useful for some. :)
As one consequence (and due to popular demand), I added SkippingStones...

Re: Pebble Smart Watch...

Thanks for the detailed report.
It seems SkippingStones is currently struggling to send "special" unicode characters.
I could also reproduce it here with the German umlauts "ä", "ö", "ü".
If there...

Re: Pebble Smart Watch...

It's very nice to hear that the work on SkippingStones is appreciated. :)
Besides being "selfish" and "just" getting my own hardware to work ;) another reason for me to code for Jolla is enthusiasm...

Re: Pebble Smart Watch...

Well, to be honest, my primary motivation for writing this was rather selfish as I just wanted to get my Pebble to work with my Jolla. ;)
It is actually very nice to see that this is useful and...

Alright, I couldn't stop myself from looking a little bit more into this.
After all, having an interesting technical problem may turn out to be a little bit addictive. ;)

So, for the impatient...

Re: Pebble Smart Watch...

Thanks for the feedback.
Apparently, I had a misconception about how I would use the information with respect to dbus linked above.
It seems that others also ran into this problem:...

Alright, that sounds pretty good. :)
So, the communication between the Pebble and SkippingStones works.

That it is not doing anything when you receive a "real" e-mail is expected as this is not...

Hi,

did you try to manually enter the address of your Pebble in the text field and connect then?
You should find the Pebble address on your Pebble in the settings in the "About" page.

The reason is how Android support has been hyped up to much. That may hurt in the end when people realize apps...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

I noticed it uses Bash 3.2 which is old. The reason Mer provides it, is to appease vendors who are scared of GPLv3. But Jolla isn't scared, so why isn't newer Bash packaged? I think Mer should...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

My Jolla's settings went haywire. I had to reset the device back to factory condition and restart from the beginning. After that I was able to enable developer mode and without developer account.
