Like I said, needed to make sure MHS is working before proceeding.

If you have played around with security settings and it dosen't work, remove MHS and install version 0.3.4.

Try playing around with the security settings.

Also, have you tried with a different machine to make sure your MHS is actually working before blaming it on vista?

Hve you tried comepletely removing everything?

try apt-get install -f.

uninstall everything and try 0.3.4. I was running 0.3.5, my pc wouldn't connect and when it did, no data was going...

Instll the newest version, 0.3.5, then download 0.3.4 and manually downgraded it by installed the deb.

Then, reboot the phone.

Make sure fMMS is NOT installed ort has never been installed or...

Try running version 0.3.4. just grab it from the mbilehotspot homepage.

THat's how I got it to work on my phone.

Make sure you have the correct firmware for you location.

There are several vaiants and I'm not 100% sure they work with all the different regions.

Are you sure your n900 Is fully charged?

make sure hte battery is actually working first.

Have you restarted your computer?

Second, in windows, check your device manager and make sure there...

The n900 is rarely completely dead. Try, unplugging the battery give it a few minutes.

Plus in the USB cable. put in the battery, press U and turn it on.

GT5 works great for me.

I just put in the new eboot and modified param.sfo. then ran pl3fix.

Ran just fine, no extra settings needed in open manager and gaia manager.

Using PL3 BTW.

I've got to agree with this.

I'm on PR1.3 Power 45.

Camera, GPS etc., everything works as it should.

Maybe try a reflash. Instead of updating. When I upgraded to PR1.3, I completely...

You have to uninstall it.

If you installed it from the application manager, you can just uninstall it using the "deinstall kernel" program that's installed along with it.

I wouldn't bother...
