settings - language and keyboard - samsung keypad - xt9 advanced settings - switch OFF next word prediction

Yes, it's the automatic brightness control that causes subtle but noticeable changes between red and green. I only notice it in the browser, so I've solved the issue for me by setting a fixed browser...

Internet speeds for me in Portsmouth are a LOT slower on GiffGaff than on Vodafone (GiffGaff uses the O2 network).
But you can't beat the price, that's for sure.
