Did anybody succeed in uninstalling the "cherry" package completely, such as by "apt-get purge cherry"?
I am a bit hesitant to do that as once I execute the command, apt-get tells me that many...

Open camera cover, close the camera application, then click on the status bar and scroll until you see the Flashlight status. You can change it from "Off" to "On" and vice versa.

As Rob1n suggested, df -h in terminal shows you the memory distribution across different partitions.
System or "rootfs" partition is only 227.9 Mb as it sits on a different memory chip. 58 Mb...
