Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

EasyCrypt still only works with TC 4.3a.

TC 6.0a only works via command line for now.

Re: Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

Are you asking if a Linux distro can INSTALL from USB flash to the local HD or if a distro can boot and RUN from USB flash?

I guess that's a silly question...there's really no difference as long...

Re: Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

Yes, shockingly, I don't have a USB CD/DVD drive (yet) which is why I had to do the XP install using a flash drive. Extra work, but it got the job done.

Re: Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

Yea I started seeing more and more ads for the Acer One recently. The $329 model only has 512MB RAM and 8GB SSD. SSD is nice but 8GB is a little lacking. The Sylvania has a 30GB hard drive and 1GB...

Re: Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

It looks like they may have revised it with respect to what you described. I was able to boot into a USB flash drive and still see the hard drive. In fact, I went into the BIOS config and was able to...

Re: Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

I was looking to add a device that fell somewhere between my 17" Acer Aspire laptop and my N800/N810.

I love my N8x0's especially for traveling and portable media playback. But my eyes get tired...

Cloudbook / Netbook-G Now $299

Looks like some price cuts for the Everex Cloudbook (and the re-badged Sylvania Netbook G).

J&R Music World is selling the Sylvania Netbook G and Wal-mart is selling the Cloudbook, each for $299....

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

I made sure to use the same command line options as you did.

# tc6 -t -c

Are you getting any other errors that are maybe hiding within all the output text?

Did you install the newer...

Re: Low Priced Nokia N810 Wimax Edition

ROFL, yes I want one....but it just looks like Google bombing. I doubt they'll be any less than like $375-$400 when they're finally released.

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

Ok I just tested this on CHINOOK and it seems to work well. I created a 10MB container with TC60a using AES and RIPEMD-160. Then I mounted it on an empty directory. I copied some files into it. I...

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

Couple questions so I can test this as well:

What OS are you running, Diablo or Chinook? What kind of filesystem are you mounting the volume as, vfat, ext2/3, etc?

I will try doing this on my...

Re: Possibly the best soft drink for linux fans...

Of course, like Coke has derivatives, they'll have to make their own - like Kubuntu caffeine-free and Xubuntu sugar-free.

Nokia Maemo Job Openings

Not sure if anyone's interested but Nokia has some openings for their Maemo team. Most are based in Finland and some of the development openings focus around Qt.

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

It's funny you should say that. I have a 15GB Truecrypt container on a file server that I keep for very sensitive documents that I might need to use from different workstations. So I mount that on...

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

Truecrypt 6.0 (and 6.0a shortly after) was recently released, which I just used to do full drive encryption for my new Acer laptop running (aghh) Vista.

Seems to work nicely and now has the...

Re: EasyCrypt Frontend for TrueCrypt

Ya, I put them in a startup script in /etc/init.d I think so that they install at every boot.

BTW sorry for the lack of updates, but has anyone tried either EasyCrypt or TC5.1a in Diablo yet? I've...

I...

Re: N800 Spare Parts (Take matters into your own hands!)

Either way I think you'd need a new N810WME back cover because I think the WiMax module requires a little more clearance to accomodate it.

New in Box N770 on ebay $153.85

I saw this ad flash past on the banners up top there.

I love how they claim it's an "unlocked phone" but anyway...is this worth it to tinker around with?

New in Box N770 on ebay $153.85...

Re: N800 Spare Parts (Take matters into your own hands!)

Someone on the forums was suggesting as a neat project trying to transplant an N810 screen onto an N800 to see if it was possible (barring any differences in ribbon connector.) I'd be willing to buy...
