They've outlined all of that, were just waiting on them validating it, they explained many mths ago that all of the UX layer will be open, only core/native apps will be closed.

It was confirmed in one of the Engadget articles, think it was a video tour they did with Marc.
This is a basic feature, I doubt they'd leave it out, but who knows in the end...

You seem to have made up your mind already, so why not just get a Android/Tizen phone?
If you still don't know why a Sailfish ph may be interesting/appealing, then you really should've made the jump...

Calling via Chrome on a rMBP (via diff. Google acct) to a N9.

Tizen is seriously yawn worthy, but I've no doubt the core hw specs will be industry leading, not sure about aesthetics/BQ though.
