Re: Best Mobile PIM ever?

One of the things that makes Datebook on the Palm work
is that Palm is a realtime OS. It doesn't multitask.
It always knows what the current state of everything is.
When you open the calender, it...

Re: Best Mobile PIM ever?

Any PalmOS Treo and an N8x0 make a great pair.
Datebook in hand and tethering for the bigger screen.
Acknowledge that nothing yet does it all and carry on.

Re: Genuine Nokia BP-5L battery for $8.99 shipped

Mine just came. No blister pack, just ziplock bags.
They look genuine, but there's no way to tell if they're new.

Re: Possibly larger capacity BP-5L battery for 770/N800 in Europe

My Sido batteries don't last nearly as long as the original in my N800,
and the power jack on the battery charger broke immediately.

Re: N800 Stylus replacement

Seems to me a soft stylus is more likely to imbed a bit of gritty dust,
which can certainly scratch the screen.

I'm just sayin...

Re: Cannot ssh into N800 from ubuntu

Oh, this is something I do on the XP machine?
There's no way for the N800 to name itself on the network?
Oh, well.

Good call on the windows hosts file location, BTW.
Nothing in it but what...

Re: Cannot ssh into N800 from ubuntu

Does it need a static IP? My XP machines and my mac are addressable by name regardless.
I edited /etc/hosts so it says
127.0.0.1 N800 localhost
but when I go for root@N800, WinSCP can't find it,...

Re: Cannot ssh into N800 from ubuntu

How do you give the N800 a hostname of n800?
Conversely, how can you see what it thinks the current hostname is?

Re: Vaja case for N810 now available.

I don't have the Vaja, but I do have both an N800 and an N810.
The N800 is significantly larger, especially as concerns a formfitting case.

Re: Install Tools advanced edition :) (tarball only no deb will be coming)

Will that fix the invalid gzip magic?
Do we need the version 5 magic for anything?
I have less than no idea what magic means in this context.

Re: ad-hoc vs infrastructure WIFI performance

Ah, got it.
Nokia's Auto channel selection was choosing the same channel as my access point.
Seems to be OK with manual selection of a non-competing channel.
