Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

On the latest Webcat version? I only see an icon with short press support, am I missing something?

Did you abandon the idea of the split view Llelectronics? I was using it relatively often.

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

I had taken a screenshot of the terminal output to show you because it looked like an error and not a simple warning, but after I reinstalled some packages and uninstalled/reinstalled QtWebkit 5.212,...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

I am surprised that it just started to happen with this version on Sailfish X: it's a long standing issue on my Jolla C since more than three or four updates. I would say it mostly happens with old...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

It's a bit off-topic, but it would be great to have a Bash script to ease the process of updating to 5.212 for all relevant packages and reverting to 5.6.2 before an OS upgrade, and it would limit...

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Is anyone interested in adopting and maintaining the great patch named No home carousel (https://openrepos.net/content/cornerman/patch-no-home-carousel)? Unfortunately, Cornerman is not using...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Thanks for the History/Restore last session option, I didn't notice the Pulley in the history. Very convenient and I think it's a good alternative. That way I can restore it only when I want to,...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

I'm not sure if the following things are bugs only on my side or in Webcat in general, or not implemented yet. Could any other user comment on the following issues?

- Tabs are not restored when...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Note also that the new layout for the toolbar is a bit borked when opening Webcat with only one tab: everything is left aligned instead of using all the width as normal, and the last button to expand...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

Thanks! I have first ran the following command to reinstall every single package (minus some errors here and there depending on permissions):

for p in $(rpm -q -a --qf "%{NAME}\n" | sort); do echo...

Re: 2.2.0 EA / Mouhijoki

The VPN finally works for me when using my proxy.sh OpenVPN configuration files. Previously my IP wouldn't change, or the connection to the VPN wouldn't work, depending on attempts.

I don't know...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Feature request: could we have a "close current tab on long press on the tab icon"? It would be very convenient not to have to do multiple taps and move the thump from left to right several times...

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Awesome work on 3.0. Some of the features you introduced in the video are very impressive and make it a very good browser even compared to other browsers developed by big companies for Android.

Re: Gemini PDA (the return of the Psion Series 5MX)

Yep, I had added the Jolla's press release in my edit above. Feels good to have a firm confirmation that there will be an official Sailfish version for the device.

Re: Gemini PDA (the return of the Psion Series 5MX)

By the way Rcolistete, I can't find any mention of Sailfish 3 in the press release you linked, but it's in your quote. Is it from another source? Did they edit because it was wrong? I would think so,...

Re: Gemini PDA (the return of the Psion Series 5MX)

That is a great, great news. Unfortunately, I would prefer a device designed for thumb typing, i.e., with a narrower keyboard and smaller keys, whereas the Gemini is mostly designed as a mini-laptop...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

USB-C is the way to go for a 2018 device, and I believe Chen already mentioned it would be USB-C.

However, I personnaly don't really care what USB type it comes with (I still prefer USB-C) as...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

That sounds great. Reading the word "prototype" in the same sentence as "next quarter" helps starting to feel the thing is real and will hopefully happen and hit the market before I die of old age...

Re: [BETA] prepatch a system-wide patching system (alternative to patchmanager)

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

That's one way to put it. Another one is he came up with a tool with a significant improvement regarding one of the main limitations of Patchmanager. The fact that patches for both tools are not...

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Unfortunately, it still fails, and I have tried a number of times. I have more than 1 GB free on the partition. This (https://openrepos.net/comment/23724#comment-23724) seemed to be the issue...

Re: The new QWERTY device project

I do not see the point in a battery hotswap feature on the Livermorium. It would add complexity, bulk, development time, and extra work on the design/engineering/software for very little benefits....
