AIS has nothing to do with disconnecting, it has only option to turn off WLAN after given timeout after it got disconnected.

See the discussion above it is caused by wlacond start

try rebooting ;) should be a hildon-status-menu issue.

yep, because of stability issues. power users can always remove that sudo, because they know, what they are doing ;)



my scenario's steps are:
1. turn wlan off
2. open modest with autoupdates...

try changing change "sudo stop wlancond" to "stop wlancond" in /usr/bin/advifsw/wlan_down.sh
stopping wlancond is quite unstable thing in Fremantle (especially when Modest updating or other...

heh... suddenly found this thread :) for AIS I would recommend using versions from -devel, because pushing it to -testing and pure extras can take ages and existing there versions are quite outdated....

what exact build are you using?
by "can't connect" do you mean that network is visible, but connection fails? (for consistance also check, is wlancond is started)
