Re: N9: Modified Events style

I had a poke around for this but couldn't find it.

I was also wondering if it was possible to remove the date from the events screen altogether. (I have the full date in the status bar, so it is...

Re: remove shading on top of lockscreen?

For posterity, the relevant file is:

/usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/images/meegotouch-lockscreen/meegotouch-lockscreen-top.png

It needs to be replaced and not just removed. A 120x120...

Re: remove shading on top of lockscreen?

I don't think it is called 'shading' (at least find couldn't find it), but I will have a poke around and see what I can find.

Is it possible to remove the shading effect on the top of the lockscreen? I find it quite annoying with some wallpapers.

I have done some poking around the css file for the lockscreen and low...

Re: N9 don't read sim card !! Help

This is a very lo-fi suggestion, but try putting a piece of paper behind the sim card in the tray. I had a similar issue, and it turned out that the sim card was not forward enough in the tray for...

Re: [Announce] EasyList for N9/N950

Hi, thanks for this great app. I just wanted to feed back a couple of things.

When I create a new list and am prompted to input the list name, the text field contains (I think) the last active...

Re: Why is push email draining battery ?

I had an issue with gmail in particular causing very severe battery drain. It seemed to be polling continually unsuccessfully. I found that it was much better to use mfe with gmail, rather than the...

Re: [Announce] Helium 0.5 - A UPnP control point for your N9

This works fine for me on both a Sony Bravia TV and Sony stereo (sorry, I don't have the model information to hand) - playing media from a mindlna server and the n9.

The only usability issue I...

Delete default wallpapers

I would like to delete the stock wallpapers from my n9, but I can't find them. I just cleared my device from the settings menu, thinking it would wipe all the stock content, but the wallpapers...

Re: Google account connectivity issues

I have also had this. In addition, I found that because my gmail was set to 'up to date', it polled the server constantly till the battery died. This is a pain because, while I can use mfe for email,...

Re: [Announce] Helium 0.4 - A UPnP control point for your N9

works fine with minidlna server and a sony hifi (can't remember the model number). I use it mainly for music, so it would be nice to be able to add an album at a time, rather than just a single...

I stupidly deleted all the images in my Pictures folder, which included the ones included by (there was one of a bike, a moody shot of palm trees etc). Does anyone have a link where I could download...

Re: [Announce]Hildon desktop package which supports lock in portrait mode

My lockscreen is (almost) always in landscape, but I would prefer portrait. Is there a way of locking it to portrait? (this is the default lockscreen, not qt/advanced).

Re: Mango iconset (aka win7)

Thanks for this icon pack. It is awesome.

Some people in the thread have mentioned that it looks odd if some apps have their regular icon. If you find the correct .desktop file in...

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

I don't think the lockscreen is connected with hildon-deskop. At least it hasn't changed the lockscreen behaviour for me. For a portrait lockscreen look at the enhanced lockscreen package, or...

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

I just noticed that the new version also allows you to change the wallpaper correctly in portrait mode. This was a big feature for me as I have a script to change it every 10 minutes and had to...

For reference, they were in:

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

I have cssu and portrait desktop installed and the onscreen keyboard works for me - both portrait and landscape, which suggests that they can play nicely together.

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

jafferkhan: it is always a good idea to assume that any random package you download off the internet is going to mess up your system. This is true on the n900, just like on any desktop system. This...

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

msa, if you are interested in trying the next release of cssu (though I have no idea when that might be), it might be better just to use the orientation lock until then - that would solve the problem...

Re: [Announce] Hildon desktop portrait mode

The command linked to uses sudo to get root permissions. This requires the users password, which is what it is asking for (and for sudo to be setup in the right way). You may not have sudo set up...
