Yes, what michaaa62 works, and before you connect you n900 to your pc you might want to have the commands already written in to CMD and entered so it says 'waiting for suitable device' at this stage...

he must have done a bad flash.
well im that instance you could make a backup of your bad flash, then flash a fresh copy and then backup the fresh copy and then slipstream the two backups overwriting...
