this is the error o get when i try to unistall smthng via apt-get remove.
could not open lock file \var\lib\dpkg\lock - open(13 permission denied)

i had the same fatal unrecoverable error. i tried the solution and it worked.
finally my n900 was working aftr a year n half. thn i startd installing apps and while doing so i dont knw what...
