Re: N900 for sale U.S / South Central PA

I am adjusting the price to $240 shipped. I know I said I would post pics the night I posted the ad but I forgot. I will get some pics snapped tonight and get them posted.

N900 for sale U.S / South Central PA

I am regretfully selling my N900. I don't have to but would rather see it go to someone who will get some good use out of it and enjoy it like I did. We had to switch cell providers from ATT because...

Well had a quick look and there is no .ashrc file and no .profile file but there is a .profiled directory which does have profile config files

Re: Is there anyway to reset xterm?

I thought about trying that but I figured it isn't the command history that i am having trouble with. I did try it anyway and deleted the .ash_history file and still no go. Still shows top output...

Is there anyway to reset xterm?

May sound like a dumb question but I have searched and can't seem to find the culprit of my problem. Any time I open a terminal it shows like I ran the top command and then it clears out and gives me...

Just want to see if anyone else has this little quirk with the contact pics when in an sms being offset or cropped a little smaller and then there is a small strip to the right where their...

Re: N900 MODs - share your MODs!!

Use leafpad or vi. I suggest leafpad all the time because it is easy for newcomers because it is close to what wordpad is in windows and it is available in the extras repo, just enable it in app...

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

You should uninstall vpnc and then you need to either edit the file with the correct name or mv the file that is missing the period to the correct file name. Just uninstalling vpnc isn't going to fix...

Re: PR1.1 MicroB Easter egg? Portrait mode browsing!

I see some nice things happening in the near future.

Microb portait works good and it switches pretty fast. I can't wait to see the full implementation :D

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

the libicd_network_ipv4script file is invalid(the one without the period) you will have to sudo gainroot and open the libicd_network_ipv4.script in vi or leafpad and see what is in it.

This is the...

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

Can you do this:
cd /etc/udhcpc
and then do
ls

and see what files are in there? if they are both in there then open the libicd_network_ipv4.script file with an editor and see what is in there?

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

It isn't a bug at least not for nokia. It is a bug from installing a program from the extra-devel repo namely it seems that it is the vpnc program.

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

Yes it should. I wanted to make sure I wasn't having unnecessary files laying around before I made the change but once I seen what was in each file and came to the realization that the dist-dpkg file...

Ok here is what is in each file:

libicd_network_ipv4.script.dpkg-dis:
run-parts -a "$1" /etc/maemo-dhcp.d

libicd_network_ipv4.script:
/etc/udhcpc/default.$1

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

It is a dns / vpnc issue. I edited my resolv.conf file and there wasn't anything there and I added the nameserver line and it resolves the dns now.

Re: After updating Maemo 5 PR1.1, no longer able to connect using WiFi

I believe you hit it on the head. I think it has to do with the vpnc prog. I had it installed and uninstalled it before doing the update and I am having the same issues. I am going to try flashing...
