Something strange happened to my N900.
I'm aware of the battery issue....but having WiFi or 3G on (or off) doesn't make a huge difference.
However, whilst at work I switched on my AVAILABILITY...

I still enjoy switching between my E71 and N900...E71 is by far the best business phone ever...whereas the N900 is a very good media device...and with an Office writer app and a dedicated and good...

Application Manager DOES eventually restore/show/update applications...but it took around 10 minutes (with NO DEVEL or EXTRAS)...so hang in there.....

Managed to install update via NSU in the UK.
Backed-up stuff onto memory card.
Following restore, I go to Application Manager to restore application or to update repositories, the the progress bar...

OK, I got it sorted. It was certainly something related to an App I installed from the develop catalog.... I reflashed + eMMC via the wiki guide and it's all working now.
