Backport N900 browser to Diablo?
I had the N900 one week for review, but I had to give it back. Now I realize that my N810 is not so bad at all. I like the bigger screen and the nice keyboard. Even Fennec feels like a professional...

Firefox for Maemo Beta 5
I am not so impressed by Firefox for Maemo Beta 5 (= new name for Fennec) on my N810.
http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2009/11/09/firefox-for-maemo-beta-5-released/
It still renders web paged too...

Re: German dataplan - suggestions?
I'd consider Simyo's 1 GB for €9,90:

As they cash up in 10 KB steps, 1 GB is more than enough. Talk minutes and SMS are...

Re: What do you want opened up in Diablo?
I guess everything that prevents other OS (Android or Ubuntu) on the legacy devices has to be opened. I guess it's sound, GPS and such things.
Also I would be happy if someone could backport the...

Re: Dialing SIP addresses in OS2008's dialer app
Why don't you put a new contact in your dialer app's friends list?
For every contact in your dialer app you can fill in his email, GTalk and SIP address. For testing, I have just included a new...

Possible to port N900 Maemo browser to N810?
I am not a big fan of MicroB and Fennec is still too slow on my N810. Thus I experiment very much with Midori and other Webkit browsers. But I am a Mozilla fan and I liked the demos of the N900...

Re: The initial focus of Mer
I am just a normal user and very curious how Mer will be. I need most the WiFi and the browser. The other features and apps are not so important to me. E-mail also matters.

Re: Fennec 1.0 Beta 3 for Maemo
Fennec has improved, but still it's much too slow. Makes me see the checkerboard too often. I have too stay with Midori which is much faster.

Re: Cool ways to use Google Voice
Oh yes.
After months of VoIP boredom Gizmo5 gave me something new to tinker with. I made sucessful phone calls from N810 and my desk phone to the US and to Germany. They went via Gizmo5 and...

Re: Get an entire PC in internet on my N810?
Yes, but in fact I was looking for the PC. Isn't there a company that offers virtual PCs in the internet which I can use over VNC (or other software) from my N810? That would be great. I don't want...

Re: Cannot use Ovi Mail SMTP in Modest
Now suddenly it works for me too. I had a stupid typo in my login name for the SMTP server. After Ovi's .com there was another m. I had never seen it because the window is so small. No idea how it...
