The problem is that you have to install manually so you will run into dependency issues.

I ran this twice from the directory where I saved the files then rebooted which seemed to work: sudo dpkg...

If you turn off all catalogues in HAM it is a global so then when you try to install from the command line of course it will say not found because there are no repositorties to search in.

My solution to this is to set my n900 to automatically connect to any network after a time interval and use auto disconnect to disconnect after a period of time. For my setup it connects for 5mins...

For the N900 there is: Tweak Flash (http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/tweakflashver/). As far as I know there is no similar program for the N8x0.

I wouldn't mind this so much except for the fact that since every system sound (including opening and closing programs) is piped to the headset which runs the battery down extremely quickly making...

So I have found that when connected to my bluetooth headset, if I plug in wired headphones multimedia audio is rerouted from the headset to my headphones which saves power since system audio is not...

I don't know how your bluetooth headset works but with mine when I receive an incoming call my bluetooth headset plays a tone (not the phone's ringtone) even when my phone is on the silent profile.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I have this exact problem and I can't believe it hasn't yet been fixed. The bluetooth headset profile should never be used to pass through multimedia audio...

The reason why is probably because detailed instructions on reflashing can already be found at the links provided so that people don't have to spend lots of time re-explaining a common issue.

Try reflashing your device by following the first set of steps in this article:

(you will lose your applications and settings unless you did a backup, you won't lose any files on the 32gb...

If you did "rm -rf /" from the terminal as root would you still be able to reflash? If yes then that would be one way of wiping your device.
