You might want to take your MAC address out of there. Otherwise "you" might end up downloading a lot of OS updates.

Is the hub supplying power to the HDD too? Or does it have an external adapter? It looks like it's trying to power up, can't get enough juice, then powers down. That would explain why "light load" things like a memory stick or a keyboard work no problem.
