Well, it's of course a balancing act between recouping costs and not cannibalizing wp7 sales. Elop's main agenda is of course making sure wp7 is a success. It's a no brainer having N9 in the same markets would be 'disruptive' to wp7 sales.

The big mystery is how Elop managed to sell it to board of directors that Microsoft is more important than having a shot with Nokia's own platform.
