I think using the name "N-series" would be insanely stupid in any market where Nokia was big (= not the US and Canada). RIM only has chance to gain market share if it can provide an innovative new experience. Using a name strongly associated with previous (and old) products from a competitor sends the opposite message. A very bad idea imho.
