Oh, Thats easy, if you have backup-menu installed already, then make a whole system backup, then Install MaeMeeMo from repos, so that if you ever want to uninstall it you will have your N900 back to where it was...
by-the-way the other way round... you will get your 59Mb back when you install it...
p.s. I think the whole 59 mb is not used out of your opt space. I think... please check.

@marmistrz: Should new package of maemeemo Depends versioned qbw-harmattan-clock and -date? If user has installed maemeemo already, upgrading it will not trigger upgrading them.

Easiest > [.deb version],
Non-Problematic > Manual

Choice is yours

Suggestion: You can make a backup-menu back-up first if you want to use .deb version
