Today, the portable electronic devices world is, more or less, ruled by Apple.
every device sold by every other manufacturer looks suspiciously like an Apple device.
Apple has made a clear distinction between their pocketable multimedia devices (iPod & iPhone), their laptops, and the device that goes inbetween the two, their tablets. So, the world as a whole now makes that distinction as well.
